Abou Shakra begins a transformation to keep up with societal changes, signaling a new era of innovation and growth.
Between 1989 and 1996, Abou Shakra expanded significantly, opening a second branch in El-Mohandeseen, Cairo, and venturing into international franchising with a Saudi Arabian partnership.
The brand further established itself with a new Heliopolis branch in 1994 and catered to a younger demographic with the El-Shams club branch in 1996, underscoring its growing presence and diversification in Egypt's culinary landscape.

From 2003 to 2017, Abou Shakra Group significantly expanded across Egypt, starting with a branch in Alexandria's Mediterranean setting. This was followed by openings in El-Maadi (2004), New Cairo and the North Coast (2006), and a landmark location by the Pyramids in 2014.
The expansion concluded in 2017 with a luxurious branch in El-Sheikh Zayed City, 6th of October area, solidifying Abou Shakra's presence as a distinguished Egyptian culinary brand.
2013 marked the year of ASG's newest brand: the first Egyptian cuisine fast-food chain in Egypt, Shakra2Go.
Expanding quickly and effectively, Shakra2Go's success was amplified with new openings in Cairo's trendiest and newest locations, including Mall of Arabia, Mall of Egypt, Cairo Festival City, City Stars, Marassi Emporium, among many others.
With a fresh brand revamp in 2023, Abou Shakra is now set to expand through franchising in the MENA Region, and establishing a food production factory in Egypt for various hospitality sectors.
